Cars are usually expensive, so though their junk car is not in good condition, most car owners want to get the best price possible. The car owner, especially if he is selling his car for the first time, would like to find out who buy junk cars. This will allow him to evaluate all the options available and find out what is most suitable for him. For some of the options, he will be able to sell the car quickly, yet the price he may get will be lower. In other options, he may be able to get a better price, if he is willing to spend more time in negotiating with sellers, and comparing the prices offers.

The potential buyers for a junk car will depend to a large extent on the car brand, model, year and condition of the car. If the car is a luxury car or vintage car, the car owner will be able to get far more buyers for the car though it is not in good condition compared to a low end economy car. Also if the car is in working condition, the price the seller will get will be more, and there are more options for selling the car. On the other hand, if the car is not in working condition due to accident, engine failure or similar problems the options for the car seller are limited.

There are many car dealers who may be interested in purchasing junk cars, especially luxury cars or vintage cars. These car dealers may be able to repair these cars, and sell the car to buyers interested in purchasing an inexpensive second hand car. There are many buyers interested in vintage cars, so these junk cars are more in demand. Even if the car is not in good condition, the car dealer may be interested in the car for the different components. Usually only a few parts of the car are malfunctioning, almost all other components are working properly and can be used for repairing other vehicles.

There are many junk car buying businesses which offer to purchase all kinds of junk cars. These companies will then sell the junk car to the car dealers, junk yards and other buyers, using their network. These businesses will usually offer a lower price, though they finalize the deal quickly and will often collect the junk car. If the car owner has time, he can also contact the local junk yards to find out how much they are willing to pay for the junk car. The car body is mainly metal, and the value of the junk car varies depending on metal scrap rates. Some car components can be also sold separately.

Another option for selling the junk car is to a car garage or buyer directly. The car garage may be requiring spare parts, especially if the car is an older model, with spare parts no easily available. Similarly there may be individuals who like to restore or repair cars, vintage car collectors, who may be interested in the junk car. Advertising the junk car on classifieds and other websites, may help in finding these individual buyers.
